YES YOU CAN
KUNDALINI YOGA FOR THE OLDER OR DIFFERENTLY ABLED BODY

Kundalini Yoga is an inclusive practice that offers benefits to people of all ages and abilities, not just the young and flexible. In fact, it’s a perfect way to keep the spine mobile, work all the body’s systems, improve balance, heighten your intuition, elevate your mood, and sharpen your mental focus. If you think you’d like to try it, but you worry that you won’t be able to keep up, then this is the workshop for you, my friends!

If you need to practice in a chair, either for the entire practice or even for just some of the exercises, they’ll be set up ready for you in our studio, or you can bring your own. Instruction will include chair adaptations for all activities.

Our last Yes You Can! workshop addressed fear and anxiety. This next one addresses depression – a condition that is often reported by elderly people, and indeed, by many younger folks in these times of cosmic unrest.

We’ll begin with a pranayama that invites us to arrive in the space and be in harmony with our beautiful bodies. Next, we’ll work through adaptations and resting poses that will allow you to access the upcoming

Kriya with a full degree of challenge, and at the same time, take breaks when you need, avoid injury, and stay inside, focused, and connected to practice. Then we’ll practice the full Kriya for Elevation – a direct route to an elevated mood, increased energy, and connection to Naad, or universal spirit.

Cost:

In studio:    $35 paid by August 20
                   $40 after August 20

Streaming:  $20 paid by August 20
                    $25 after August 20
