Candlelight Yin Yoga with Gong

every MONDAY at 5:30pm

 Ong Kar will be leading us into a deep and meditative experience of Yin Yoga. The yin style involves surrendering into poses for longer periods of time in order to let go of tensions stored in the deeper connective tissues, and calm the nervous system. Yin is informed by Chinese Daoist practices, so poses strengthen underlying meridian channels throughout the body. Candlelight Yin Yoga is a peaceful way to end your day. This practice will be accompanied with candlelight, healing music, and extended gong for deeper relaxation. Bring your own favourite bolster, blanket or yoga block to get the most out of this class 

Teacher’s Bio:

ONG KAR KAUR KHALSA is one of our accomplished teachers at Yoga West. Ong Kar is a lifelong Kundalini Yogi. Born into a family of yogis, she graduated from one of the early Level One Trainings in Vancouver. She also has a love of and experience in several different styles of Yoga, from Hatha to Ashtanga, to the deep and gentle practice of Yin Yoga. This drew her to take Hatha Training in 2021. Ong Kar finds that yoga is uplifting, helps to strengthen the nervous and system, and experience joy on a daily level. Yin Yoga offers the great benefit of a particularly deep and healing state of relaxation.
