is the Sanskrit term for a “spiritual discipline or path.”
In the Amrit Vela, 2.5 hrs before sunrise when the sun is at a 60 degree angle to the earth - it is a powerful time of day for healing the mind, body and spirit.
1. The first section of this Sadhana is the Sacred Prayer of Guru Nanak called Japji Sahib. The prayer is read in Gurmukhi with books provided. (20 mins)
2. The second section is a Kundalini Yoga Kriya (set of exercises). This is an excellent way to awaken, heal and balance the body. *Please note that this is not a yoga class and very little instruction is given. (45 mins)
3. The third section is Meditation (chanting sacred mantras). During meditation, the subconscious mind is cleansed - garbage from many lifetimes gets stirred up and comes floating to the surface. Whether your thoughts are blissful or unpleasant during the meditations(chanting), let them all move through, attach to none.
It is important to keep chanting - out loud - these mantras are doing their job! They are cleaning up the negativity and fantasy that has been covering up the divine light inside you. (62 mins)
4. The last section is a hukam (order from the Divine) to meditate on and guide your day. This is either taken from a book called Peace Lagoon or directly from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib (Guru of the Sikhs).
*It is strongly advisable to attend a beginners Kundalini Yoga Class before attending Aquarian Sadhana.
